Mrs. Evelyn Fredericka Lewis Morgan was born August 13, 1942 in Jacksonville, Florida. Evelyn was the first-born child of the late Mr. Luther F. Lewis and Mrs. Catherine Lewis Randolph. Evelyn received her education in the Public Schools of Duval County, Matthew W. Gilbert Class of 1960.
In 1959 Evelyn Lewis met and married Billy Gene Morgan, Sr. to this union five children were born, three boys and two girls.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her father, Mr. Luther F. Lewis; mother, Mrs. Catherine Lewis Randolph; husband, Mr. Billy G. Morgan; son, Tyrone V. Morgan; daughter, Mrs. Cheryl D, Morgan-Robinson; grandson, Tyrone Morgan; brother, Master Luther R. Lewis, Jr.; and aunt, Mrs. Charity B. King. On Wednesday, August 6, 2025, Mrs. Evelyn F. Morgan was called home to eternal rest in the arms of Jesus.
Evelyn’s memories will live on with her daughter, Ms. Jacquelyn A. Morgan; sons, Mr. Billy G. Morgan, Jr. (Christine) and Mr. William C. Morgan (Constance); grandchildren, Shenoria Morgan, Shecoria Morgan, Victoria Morgan, Shelia Morgan, Shekia Morgan, Alicia Devine, Tracey Gatson (Mark), Alvin L. Williams, Malik Williams, Jr., Michael L. Morgan, Sr. and Vincent Morgan; great grandchildren, Marcel Gatson, Matthew Gatson, Tracey Gatson, Tyler Gatson, Michael L. Morgan, Jr., Jayden Morgan, Julien Morgan and Anthony Morgan; sisters, Mrs. Catherine L. Reed (Clifford), Ms. Delores V. Lewis and Ms. Deborah A. Randolph; son-in-law, Dedrick Robinson; brother-in-law, Albert Crutchfield; The Class of 1960 Matthew Gilbert, The ILA Longshoremen Association Retiree’s, Friendship Church Family especially her beloved Usher Board #2; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many sorrowing friends.
