Frances Mitchell-Williams affectionately known as Teta was born on June 17, 1942, in Sinoe County, Liberia to the late Alexander Mitchell and Mary Louise Russ. On Thursday, December 25, 2025, Fran peacefully entered into eternal rest.
Teta lived a life molding and impacting her siblings, children she raised and even friends she made over the years. She always wanted her family to be together with love and peace among each other.
Fran was baptized and confirmed in the United Methodist Church and always sang in the choir. She was a devoted Christian who loved the Lord.
Frances received her bachelor’s degree in business administration. She owned several businesses in Liberia. (Fran-Jo and The Smoked Turkey House)
Teta was a very hard-working woman and enjoyed touring the world. She is survived by her sisters, Bindu Barclay Karmorh, Virginia Mitchell, Louise Mitchell, Princess King and Leona King-West; son, Alvin Beah; one granddaughter; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many sorrowing friends.
