Ms. Gloria Dee Grier was born on May 9, 1952, to the parents of Lilly Mae Grier and Agnew Grier. She attended John E. Ford Elementary. She graduated from Technical High School.
Gloria was employed by the Federal Government as a Financial Technician for over thirty plus years at Nas/Jax – Department Naval Aviation Depot.
Gloria was a sweet going, fearless, loving auntie, friend, and godmother. She loved her family and enjoyed family gatherings and friends. Gloria memory will live on in the love she brought and shared with all of us.
Gloria was preceded in death by her mother, Lilly Mae Grier; her father, Agnew Grier; her sisters, Waiver Smith, Christine Kirkland and Dorthy Henderson; her nieces, Dana Johnson and Heather Grier; and nephew, Daryl Henderson.
Gloria is survived by her siblings, Charles Grier (Willie Mae), Lillie Thomas (Emanuel), Agnew Grier, Jr., Terry Grier, and James Grier (Janice); the closest and dearest friend for fifty plus years, Robert Upson; nieces and nephews, Anthony Jones, Dwayne Henderson, Rufus Johnson, Lisa Chieves (Leroyal), Leslie Campbell (James Jr.), Celeste Rucker, Ingrid Jones (Anthony), Cedric Grier, Charlie Grier, Carl Grier, Alexander Williams, Anderson Williams and Christen Williams; and a host of great nieces, nephews, cousins, godchildren and many friends.
