Gwendolyn Lorine Walthour was born September 3, 1948 in Jacksonville, Florida to Charlie D. White, Sr. and Lucile Huffman White. She was the oldest of fourteen children.
Gwendolyn graduated from Stanton Vocational High School class of 1966. She received her Cosmetology License from Dudley Cosmetology University. She was the owner and operator of Lady G Hair and Fashion and Pleasant Living Facility Incorporated for several years.
Gwendolyn was a member of First Church of Lord Jesus Christ under the leadership of Pastor Gino Jennings.
On March 31, 1978 Gwendolyn was united in Holy Matrimony to Robert L. Walthour, Sr. who preceded her in death in 2023. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Lucile and Charlie D. White, Sr.; and sisters, Barbara Miles, Sharlene White, Angela Day, and Joan White.
Gwendolyn leaves to cherish her precious memories to her children, Willie Young (Suarez), Shandell Hester (Russell), Robert Walthour, II (Lisa) and Eugene Walthour; grandchildren, Robert Walthour, III (Breanna), Alex Young, Kandace Hester and Jeremiah Hester; great grandson, Nathan Walthour; sisters, Susanne Hicks, Carolyn Brunson (Harold), Cheryl Williams and Michelle Butler; brothers, Charlie D. White, Jr. (Pamela), Michael White, Bryan White, Mark White and Gerald White; four sisters-in-law, Della Walthour, Carolyn Moore (William), Darlene Grant (Leroy) and Delbra Easton (Scott); one brother-in-law, Freddie Walthour; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends including special friends, Latonya Green APRN and Corthina David.
