Henry Shaw Obituary

Brother Henry Lee Shaw was born on February 3, 1944 to William Shaw and Leola Nails Graham in Waycross, Georgia.

Henry attended public school in Ware County, Georgia, and was a graduate of Center High School in 1961. At 22, he relocated to Hartford, Connecticut, where he was employed by United Technologies—Pratt & Whitney. He later retired at the age of 55 in Jupiter, Florida.

Henry met his wife, Delores Shaw, in 1971, and they wed on March 24, 2001. After Henry retired, the loving couple moved from Jupiter, Florida to Orange Park, Florida.

In addition to being a devoted and loving husband, father, brother and friend, Henry was a sports enthusiast. He also held an unwavering faith in God, which he shared with those who surrounded him. He was a proud member of Greater Church of God by Faith in Jacksonville, Florida.

Henry transition home to the Lord on March 23, 2020 at age 76. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Shaw and Leola Nails Graham; biological son, Sean Lee Shaw; two brothers, William Shaw and Robert Graham; three sisters, Elmarie Graham, Emma Jean Morris, and Rudine Taylor; mother-in-law, Ethel Thomas; and son, Marshall Hamilton.

Henry leaves his beloved wife, Delores Shaw; his siblings, Jerlene Whitfield, Jean Riggs, Larry Graham (Monette), and Sandra Tillman (Isaac); sons, Jerry Hamilton and Horace Hamilton (Annette); daughters, Carla Hamilton, Nina Hamilton-Smith (Jerome), and Ethel Hamilton; 12 grandchildren; two sisters-in-law; a brother-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, great-grandchildren, and other loving relatives and friends, to cherish his memories.
