Howard Mall Ware

Howard Mall Ware, born on December 12, 1933, in Cuthbert, Georgia.  After a long progressive illness, he passed away on Monday, June 9, 2025, in Jacksonville, Florida, at the age of 91 years old. He lived in Detroit, Michigan for most of his life and was a dedicated employee of Ford Motor Company in Dearborn, Michigan for 25 years, a proud member of UAW Local 600, a business owner, and a deacon at St. John the Great Cathedral. 

Howard moved to Jacksonville in 2022 to be closer to his biological son and daughter.  During this time, he often visited family and friends in Miami, Florida and Detroit, Michigan.  He is survived by his son Reginald Caldwell in Jacksonville, Florida, and preceded in death by his wife, Authorlean Wright Ware, daughter, Angela Talethia Cross, parents Lucious & Lecester Ware, and all of his siblings: Johnnie Seymore, Frank Simpson, Annie Clyde Harris, Lucille Binnion, John William Ware, Ollie Mae Rivers, Ruthie Bell Ware, Fannie Mae Smith, AJ Ware, and Mildred Eady.

Howard was loved by everyone and will be sorely missed by the following special family members, friends and caregivers: Martha Glynn, Rondel and Deshanta Grimmett, Dana Davis, Jermaine Berry, Michelle Ware, Michael Ware, Valarie Johnson, Regina Johnson, Tatum King, Jimmie Chandler Sr.
