Isaac Odom, Sr. was born on March 8, 1943 to the late Sockateese and Rosabelle Odom in Blacksville, South Carolina. He attended the local schools of Duval County graduating from Stanton High School. He furthered his education at Edward Waters College.
Isaac was united in Holy Matrimony to Isabelle Odom on June 8, 1967 for 54 years. He worked for the city of Jacksonville for 47 years where he retired after faithful service. Isaac was a faithful member of Emanuel Missionary Baptist Church for over 60 years. He enjoyed music and weight lifting.
On Monday, May 9, 2022 Isaac Odom, Sr. went home to be with the Lord. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sockateese and Rosabelle Odom; and his siblings, James Odom, Sockateese Odom, Jr., Eddie Odom and Helen Swain.
Isaac leaves to mourn his passing but to cherish his memories, his loving and devoted wife, Isabelle Odom; children, Isaac Odom, Jr. (Ramonia), Tijuana Odom, Mario Odom (Jennifer) and Latoya Odom; grandchildren, Gregory (Jasmine), Lauren, Garrisson, Chantal, Chelsea, Jaylen, Omarion, Amir, Mario Jr., Isaiah, Rachelle, and Leah; siblings, Lisco Odom, Ella Davis, Amanda Robinson, Lucille Hollis (Emmitt), Betty Harris, Glory Jean Daniels, Joyce Clemmons, Jeanette Brown, Deborah Braham (Randall) and Thomasina Lawson (Johnnie); mother-in-law, Jimmie Bradford; in-law, Dee Odom, Carolyn Odom, Linda Robinson, Harritte Moore (James), Brenda White (Houston), Corley Bradford (Stephanie), Jimmie Bradford, Keith Bradford and Kenneth Bradford (Charisse); special friends, David Randolph and Chester Scott; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many sorrowing friends.
