Ivey Jean Bloodsworth was born on March 22, 1943 in Callahan, Florida to the late Annie Althea Morgan and Robert Lee Williams. She attended and graduated from Pine Forest Community School in Nassau County.
Ivey started her professional career as a microbiologist. After leaving the medical field, she pursued a career with the IRS until she retired. In her community, she was a caregiver, hospitality leader, part of the senior citizens club, women’s ministry, church school, and usher board.
Ivey Jean Bloodsworth answered the Master’s call quietly on Sunday, May 2, 2021 at her residence. She was preceded in death by her children, Alta Bloodsworth-Melton and Alana Quansett Bloodsworth; mother, Annie Althea Morgan; father, Robert Lee Williams; and sisters Doris Melton and Estelle Horne.
Ivey leaves to cherish her memories, her grandchildren, Ivan Bloodsworth, Tyshawna Melton, and Alaiysha Bloodsworth; siblings, Keith Williams and Phillip Williams; in-law, Ellis Horne; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, church family, and many sorrowing friends.
