On Thursday, June 25, 2026, Jacquelyn Denise Henderson-Wells affectionately called Jackie stepped into everlasting life.
Jackie was born on January 9, 1965, to Carolyn Wilson-Holmes and the late Roosevelt Wilson in Jacksonville, Florida. She was the youngest of four children, and she took full advantage of her position as the youngest.
Jackie attended the local schools in Jacksonville, graduating from William M. Raines High School in 1983. Her longtime church affiliation was with The Bethel Church, under the esteemed leadership of Bishop Rudolph McKissick, Jr.
Jackie was employed by UF Health/Shands in the Medical Billing Department for over twelve years. She enjoyed different arts and crafts, always liked challenging herself with various projects at their home, which always proved to be successful, and the finished project would look very professional. She also enjoyed baking. Occasionally she made desserts for family members for holidays and special occasions.
Jackie and her husband Eric were childhood sweethearts, meeting at the age of thirteen. Their lives went in different directions after high school, only to reconnect years later. They were joined in holy matrimony on December 17, 2004.
Jackie was preceded in death by her father, Roosevelt Wilson; brother, Roosevelt Wilson, Jr.; and uncle, Willie Mobley.
Jacquelyn leaves to cherish her special memories, devoted husband, Eric Wells; son, Anthony Henderson; daughter, Jasmine Henderson; son, Eric Wells, Jr.; mother, Carolyn Holmes; bonus dad, Mark Holmes; sister, Valerie Harris; brother, Torrence Wilson; devoted aunts, Connie Edwards and Gail Mobley; father and mother-in-law, Gerald and Judy Wells; sister-in-law, Laurissa Pullins (Jessie); special friend, Corniasha Corley; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other sorrowing family and friends.
