Jacquelyn Elaine Smart, affectionately known by those who loved her as Jack or Jackie, was born in Jacksonville, Florida on September 19, 1956, to the late Jeraldine and Willie Frank Parks.
Jackie was a warm, outspoken, and vibrant soul who lived life to the fullest and without regrets. She deeply loved her family and was always willing to go above and beyond to support and bring joy to those around her.
A proud graduate of Stanton High School, Jackie dedicated thirty-eight years of service to St. Vincent’s Hospital before retiring.
Jackie leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories with her husband, Harold Smart, Jr.; her son, Harold Smart, III (Keisha); and her grandson, Joshua Smart. She is also survived by her sisters, Maralyn Johnson (Johnny) and Shiela Ross (Martha); nieces, Chilquila Johnson, Tajuana Tukes, and Keion Ross; nephew, Jaiwon Tukes (Jasmine); great-nieces and nephews, Shanique Wright (Javaris), Alberto Milton, Shanice Milton, Ezekiel Smart, Ze' nya Smart, Jaiquanna Tukes, Jada Jackson, and Raina Stafford; and great- great nieces, Ja’nyla Owens and Jayla Wright.
Jackie also shared a special bond with close friends, Joyce Fudge and Rita Ritz; and is remembered fondly by a host of aunts, uncle, cousins, in-laws, other relatives, and many sorrowing friends.
