Jacquelyn Kellam Wajd was born to the late Lawrence and Ray Pearl Kellam, Sr. on May 21, 1949 in Jacksonville, Florida. She accepted Jesus Christ in her early age and was a member of Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church, Dr. Johnathan Blackburn the Pastor. She was a member of the JMBC Usher Board. She graduated from Stanton Vocational High School. She was employed and retired from Southern Bell, BellSouth after 30 devoted years of service.
2 Timothy 4:7 “I have fought a good fight; I have finished my course…” She was a beautiful person on the outside as well as the inside. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sibling, cousin, and aunt. She volunteered at the American Cancer Society and Red Cross Walk-a-Thon. She faithfully donated to The Sickle Cell Foundation. She also took pride in working at all the local Voting Polls every year.
Jacquelyn is survived by her devoted husband, Roland Wajd; two beautiful daughters, Anita Williams and Angela Patterson (TK); one handsome son, Colonel Phelemon Williams, II ( Lily); one bonus son, Vernard Mainor; ten grandchildren, Ashlee McCalister (2nd Lt. Josh), Precious Williams, Jordan Curry, Kyndall Curry, Tre’ Williams, Jamari Williams, Tatum Patterson and ABH TK Patterson II, Tamaya Patterson and Laquanta Mainor-Caldwell (Terry); three great grandchildren, Cinco, Ava and Aria McCalister; she also leaves behind one sister, Faye Moffett; one aunt, Deloris Jones; two uncles, Maurice Jones (Mary) and Jacob Jones ( Madge); special friends, Margret Way-Norris, Pat Benton, Rosiland Stevens and Gloria Queen; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws; and many loving friends.
