James Louis Forest was born here in the city of Jacksonville Duval County. The last of eight children born to Henry and Mattie Mae Forest. James attended the local schools here and was very outgoing.
So, when James finished high school he went to serve our country, joining the United States Air Force where he spent twenty plus years. During this military time, a child was born “a girl” named Trina Forest; a dad’s girl.
After retiring from the United States Airforce, James worked at the Prime Osborn Convention Center for a few years. James was baptized and affiliated with the Apostolic Faith under the leadership of Bishop S. P. Johnson.
James was preceded in death by his lovely parents, Henry and Mattie Forest; sister, Loveonia Pelzer; brother, John Forest. He leaves to cheirish his memories, his daughter, Trine Phelts; two sisters, Lurlene Johnson and L. Jean Stone; brother, Melvin Forest; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members who will always remember him with love and respect. “To God Be The Glory”
