Janet Lee Taft Bell was born January 14, 1958 in Jacksonville, Florida to Barbara Taft Beverly. Janet received her early education in the Duval County Public School system and graduated from Jean Ribault Senior High, Class of 1976. She was employed by NAS Jax as a Supply Chain Logistic Coordinator. She retired from NAS after thirty-five years of service.
Janet wanted to be all that she could in this life without limitation. She met Michael Bell. On March 27, 1982, she was joined in Holy Matrimony. God bless them with two children, Michael, Jr. and Travis.
Janet received Jesus Christ as her savior at an early age and joined Emanuel Missionary Baptist Church. She served in various ministries, Susan Badger Missionary, Sanctuary Choir, Priscilla Sunday School, Culinary Staff, District #8 and Sunshine Band Advisor.
God in his infinite wisdom called Janet home on May 9, 2025 to eternal rest, surrounded by her loving family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Bell; mother, Barbara Taft Beverly; and siblings, Barbara Ann, Alvin, and Donald.
Janet leaves to cherish her precious memories, children, Michael Jr. and Travis; grandchildren, Michayla, Travis Jr., Kingston and Treasure; sisters, Deborah (Theodore), and Brenda (Stevie); two aunts, Virginia and Martha; one uncle, James; and a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
