Ms. Janice James Vincent was born on August 18, 1961 to the late Mr. Frank James, Sr. and Mrs. Annette James in Jacksonville, Florida. She attended the local schools of Duval County including, Long Branch Elementary, Kirby Smith, Jr. High and Andrew Jackson High School class of 1979.
Janice accepted Christ at an early age, attending Grace Missionary Baptist Church and sung in the youth choir. She later moved to Orlando, Florida in August of 2010 and joined Livingston Church of God under the leadership of the late Bishop Thomas E. Chenault, was a faithful member of the Greeter Ministry and was a Head Usher. She worked for Del Taco for several years and was loved by many, until her health began to fail.
Janice moved back to Jacksonville, Florida in 2019 and joined Love, Faith and Peace Deliverance Temple and trained ushers. She was a faithful member and attended church regularly up until the last three weeks of her life.
God saw fit to send His Angel of death into the rooms of Janice James Vincent to relieve her of her pain and troubles of this world. On Sunday, October 10, 2021 Janice James Vincent entered into her eternal rest to be with Jesus Christ her Lord and Savior. She was preceded in death by her father, Frank James, Sr.
Janice leaves to mourn her passing but to cherish her memories, her mother, Annette James; children, Latoya Solomon (Alton), Latrese James, Lakesha James, and Jairus Brown; siblings, Theresa Patton (Dennis), Marilyn Mathis (Anthony), Elder Frank James, Jr. (Janice), Anthony James, Lavett Boger (Breon), Bobby McCoy, Ulysses Howell and Michael Reddick; grandchildren, William McNeil, Jr., Heaven McNeil, Adrian Brown, Jr., Empriss James, A’veyah Solomon and Ronald Butler, Jr.; aunts, Etta Mae Edwards and Gwendolyn Gibbs (Archie); uncle, Robert Smith; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
