Jason Merritt Obituary

Jason Maurice Merritt was born on October 17, 1986 in Jacksonville, Florida to Kimberley A. Richardson and Nathaniel Merritt. He attended the local schools of Duval County, including Ribault Senior High and Douglas Anderson School of the Arts. He also attended Everett Community College.

Jason never married and was employed by Lexington Hotel after leaving Family Dollar as an Assistant Manager. He also previously worked for Olive Garden Restaurant where he served as a Hostess for over eight years or more.

Jason was raised to know and love Jehovah God as a little boy. His hobbies were dancing, singing, modeling and making everyone laugh. He had many awards for his performance in singing and acting especially in high schools’ years and a few recently.  

Jason passed away on Saturday, March 14, 2020. He was preceded in death by his loving grandmother, Terry Reynolds (Curtis), whom raised him.

Jason leaves to cherish his loving memories, his mother, Kimberley Richardson (Jethro); brother, Christopher Moore; uncles, Larry Clark (Mary), Toney Clark (Dondra) and Keith Reynolds (aka Kiecy); aunt, Arnita Thorpe (aka Bonnie); special friends, Angelina Hunter, Johnathan B. McDowell and Terry Sams; and a host of other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
