Obituary

Jazmyn Aliya Harper, born on September 13, 1995 in Jacksonville, Florida to the parentage of Louis T. Harper and Tanya Fields Harper. She attended the local schools of Duval County graduating from Samuel W. Wolfson High School in 2014. Jazmyn was enrolled in Ashford University to obtain a degree in Business Administration.

Jazmyn’s most recent employment was with Comcast as a Customer Service Retention Representative for over four years. She was very proud of being a Comcast Employee because both of her parents began their careers with the Comcast over twenty-five years ago.

Jazmyn has been a member of Varick Memorial AME Zion Church of Jacksonville, Florida for over fifteen years. She enjoyed singing in the church choir and Praise Dancing. Jazmyn’s most recent hobbies were cosmetology, doing nails and eyelashes but she also developed a passion for cooking meals for her family.

Jazmyn enjoyed traveling, spending time with her siblings and close friends, and spending quality time with her six nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly. Jazmyn loved to smile and laugh. She was the life of every family gathering, lived life freely and embraced every challenge set before her.

Jazmyn Aliya Harper book of life closed on Sunday, October 25, 2020. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Henry and Lucille Fields, Louis Calvin and Booker Jones; and aunt, Regina Fields.

Jazmyn leaves to mourn her passing but to cherish her memories, her parents, Louis T. and Tanya Harper; grandmother, Fontella Harper-Jones; sisters, Corinne Harper and Janay Harper; brothers, Harold Samuels (Mariah) and Harlon Samuels; nieces and nephews, Caliah, Harmony, Ah’Mere, Josiah, Haniah and Nova; special names, Aunt Tiffany Lewis (Jeff), Talise Tyler, Sylvia Hennings, Mary Braxton, La Donna Terrell, Deborah Harper, “Uncle” David Broome (GodFather), Gerald “Uncle Jello” Noble, “Aunt Kim” Francois, “Aunt Candy” Valorie Broome and "Uncle" Lourenzy Cosey; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and many sorrowing friends.
