Mrs. Jerlyne C. Wright was born in Andalusia, Alabama to Mrs. Estell D. Engram and the late Mr. Abram Cottingham on November 21, 1961. At an early age, she confessed to Christ and joined Bell Street Baptist Church #2. She later moved to Jacksonville, Florida. She received her education in the public schools of Montgomery, Alabama.
She was called home by our father on Saturday, March 9, 2019. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Jessica M. Shufford; grandfather, Mr. Curly Everett; and sister, Norma J. Williams.
She was a devoted housewife and mother of four children. She leaves to cherish her memories, a loving mother, Mrs. Estell D. Engram of Montgomery, Alabama; one daughter, Marinda Cottingham; two sons, Jametrius Cottingham and LaCourtney Shufford; five precious grandchildren, Ta’Blounte Cottingham, De’unta Cottingham, Renatisha Cottingham, Juvon Cottingham, Janyce Williams and Christian Cottingham all of Jacksonville, Florida; her husband, Billy L. Williams of Jacksonville, Florida; one brother, Mr. Clarence Cottingham of Montgomery, Alabama; one sister, Julie Ann Walker of Columbiana, Alabama; five nieces, LaQuanda Williams, LaToya Williams, Tanyanika Smoke, Tamika Williams and LaShunda Sankey all of Montgomery, Alabama; tow nephews, Devosky Williams and LaTerrance Williams all of Montgomery, Alabama; one aunt, Mrs. Earnestine Sorey (Willie) of Panama City, Florida; two uncles, Mr. John Everett of Andalusia, Alabama and Mr. Curtis Everett of Panama City, Florida; very special and devoted cousin, Faye Rodriguez (Jose) of Miami, Florida; and a host of great nieces, great nephews, other relatives and close friends.
