Jerold Alphonso Tucker was born in Duval County, Jacksonville, Florida on October 17, 1947, to the late Reverend Lonnie A. Tucker and Arletha Anderson-Tucker. Jerold moved to Wyandanch, Long Island, New York, there he met the love of his life, Reverend Pauline Tucker. On June 1, 1968, Jerold and Reverend Pauline Tucker were married. From their union three children were born.
Jerold was a muscle car enthusiast. He frequently attended car shows and international drag racing. He spent his spare time restoring his classic convertible Mustang. He gave back to the community through coaching little league football through P.A.L. Jerold loved the Jacksonville Jaguars win or lose. Anytime his team played he was tuned in whether at the stadium or at home in his favorite chair. Most importantly, family was everything to him.
On Friday, May 5, 2023, the Lord called Jerold home to be with him. He was preceded in death by his father, Reverend Lonnie A. Tucker Sr.; his mother, Arletha Anderson- Tucker; three sisters; and five brothers. Jerold knew the Lord as his Savior and we know that he has been welcomed into the gates of heaven. He will always hold a special place in our hearts.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Reverend Pauline Tucker; his children, Gerold Tucker, Jr., Barry Tucker (Larissa), and Felicia Thomas (Christopher); thirteen grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; his sisters, Delores Williams, and Patricia Delifus (Daniel); his sisters-in-law, Saundra James, and Diane Smith (Paul); brother-in-law, Robert Carter; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless friends.
