He joined Philippian Community Church under the leadership of the late Bishop Lawrence C. Callahan, Sr. and presiding Bishop Virgil C. Jones, Sr.

He shared his skills without hesitation, tirelessly offering his help to those in need. Beyond his abilities, John was a devoted husband, son, sibling, father, and friend, enriching the lives of many through his generous spirit.
