John Earl Williams, Sr. passed away on Saturday, November 18, 2023, in Jacksonville, Florida. He was born on January 3, 1968, in Sumter, South Carolina. John, also known as Big Earl, was a loving father, cherished grandfather, and a friend to many. John attended William M. Raines High School, where he laid the foundation for a successful future.
Big Earl was known for his sense of humor, always able to bring a smile to anyone's face and make them laugh. He had a heart of gold and was known for his generous nature. John had a special ability to brighten up any gathering and was truly the life of every party.
In his free time, John loved nothing more than spending quality time with his family and friends. Being a great father was his greatest joy in life, and he cherished every moment he had with his loved ones.
John Earl Williams, Sr. will be remembered for his infectious laughter, his generosity, and his ability to bring happiness to those around him. He has left behind a legacy of love and laughter that will be cherished by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Pearline Williams and Grant Williams.
John is survived by his children, Jonisha Williams, John Williams, Jr., Rasheal Lamar, and Tamara Williams. He was a proud grandfather to Ne’Khia Ray, Sha’Mya Ray, Antoine Walters, Royale Walters, Nicholas Byers, Kayden Haynes, Ja’niez Williams, Jacob Williams, and Jalen Williams. John is also survived by his siblings, Patricia McMillian, Terry Williams, and Jason Coates, as well as his aunt, Mary, and his special nephew, Lenard Cogdell. He will be deeply missed by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and many sorrowing friend.
