Joycelyn Marie Gooch-Morrison

Joycelyn Marie Gooch-Morrison was born on March 5, 1954 to M.C. and Ola Mae Gooch. She attended the local schools of Duval County graduating from Samuel W. Wolfson High School class of 1972. She graduated from the Art Institute of Atlanta with a major in Fashion Design.

Joycelyn was united in Holy matrimony to Richard James Morrison for 26 years. She was employed with Dillard’s Company. Joycelyn was a member of New Vision Baptist Church in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. Joycelyn enjoyed the beach, shopping, seafood, spending time with her family and loving on her special Kiki McGee Morrison.

Joycelyn Marie Gooch Morrison went home to be with the Lord on Friday, September 30, 2022. She was preceded in death by her parents, M.C. and Ola Mae Gooch; and siblings, Mack Gooch, Corine Thomas and Mae Eunice Holloway. Joycelyn leaves to cherish her husband, Richard Morrison; children, Todd Morrison (Summer) and Kim Riegert (Mike); grandchildren, Elliot Morrison and Luke Morrison; siblings, Everlee Merritt and Kerry Gooch (Fannie Mae); godchildren, Craig Trimmingso, Aleric Peek, Asia Peek and Emmitt Gooch, Jr.; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and sorrowing friends.
