Julia Wright Wells a native of Jacksonville, Florida was born August 7, 1923 to Eli and Annie Wright. At a young age, she accepted the Lord and was baptized at Mt. Canaan Baptist Church. She attended Duval County Public Schools.
Julia met the loved of her life, Andrew Wells while in high school. Andrew preceded her in death. Julia was a devoted wife and mother of seven children. She was a member of St. Paul Baptist Church until her physical health declined.
She departed this life on Saturday, May 28, 2022 surrounded by loved ones. She will be lovely remembered and never forgotten by, her children, Alfred (deceased) Lillian Wells, Betty Jean Carter (deceased), Donald (deceased) Leila Wells, Robert Wells (Jacetta), Carolyn (Walter, deceased) Simmons, Larry Wells (Sandra), and Patricia Jenkins (Carlton); siblings, Mildred Wright James, Inez Wright, Ernestin Daise-Cash, Willie Mae Foster (deceased), Annie Mae Griffin and Evelyn Jackson; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren which includes special and devoted grandchildren, Robyn Cross (Alvin) and De’Andre Harold (Shreena); a host of sisters and brothers-in-law which include, Bernice Douglas and Dr. Marvin Wells (Nicole); and a host of other loving family members and friends.
We will greatly miss our mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Our hearts are deeply saddened but we rejoice because her Lord and Savior called her home to rest.
