Kennedy Waymer Obituary

Kennedy Ashley Waymer was born to Ronald and Sandra Waymer on January 9, 2006, in Columbia, South Carolina.

In August 2019, Kennedy’s life was dedicated to Christ when she was baptized at Morris Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Barnwell, South Carolina.

In January 2025, Kennedy became a member of Greater Macedonia Baptist Church in Jacksonville, Florida, where she faithfully served as a member of the Usher Board.

Kennedy excelled academically as an International Baccalaureate Honor Graduate of Paxon School for Advanced Studies. She graduated Summa Cum Laude with the Class of 2024 and was recognized as a Golden Eagle Ambassador and Senior Class Historian Officer. Kennedy was also honored as a member of Mu Alpha Theta, the Science National Honor Society, and the National Honor Society, and she received the Gold Seal of Biliteracy.

Kennedy continued her academic journey at the College of Coastal Georgia, where she began her studies in Engineering in August 2024 and played collegiate softball. Her dedication and hard work earned her the distinction of being named to the President’s List for both semesters.

Preceding Kennedy in death are her beloved grandparents, Joe Fuller (“Grandpa Joe”), Gloria J. Fuller (“Nanny”), and Dorothy P. Waymer (“Grandma Dot”).

Cherishing her memory and celebrating her life are her loving parents, Ronald and Sandra Waymer; two brothers, Tyler Waymer of Jacksonville, Florida, and Ronald Waymer Jr. of San Diego, California; grandparents, Isadore Waymer Sr. (Sylvia) of St. Mary’s, Georgia; uncle, Isadore Waymer Jr. (Carla) of Orangeburg, South Carolina; and aunts, Mary Ann Sanders (Craig) of Charlotte, North Carolina, April Kutor (Daniel) of Yulee, Florida, Alberta Patterson (Earnest) of Kingsland, Georgia, and Deidra Waymer of Orangeburg, South Carolina. Also cherishing her memory are her great-uncle, Walter Jackson Jr. (Carla) of Augusta, Georgia; and great-aunts, Edna Patterson (James Jr.) of Barnwell, South Carolina, and Jo-Ann Singleton (Willie James) of Barnwell, South Carolina. Honorary Aunts, Jovonne McDaniel (Damond) of Columbia, South Carolina, LaShonda Jackson of Barnwell, South Carolina and Tiffany Bell (Jassie) of Spartanburg, South Carolina; godparents, Teresa Lee of Denmark, South Carolina and Reverend James Davis (Katinia) of Elgin, South Carolina. Kennedy leaves behind a host of loving cousins, friends, classmates, and teammates who will forever cherish her light, laughter, and legacy.

Kennedy’s words of encouragement and faith will continue to inspire all who knew her:

“Trust the process; God always has a plan.”
“It’s okay. I’ll be okay.”
“Always give 110% in whatever you do!”
