It is with profound sadness and loving remembrance that the family of Kenneth Warren Singleton, affectionately known as Kenny, announces his peaceful passing on Friday, April 25, 2025, at the age of 75. Born on May 8, 1949, in Jacksonville, Florida, Kenny was a lifelong resident of the city that he adored. His final moments were spent in the warmth of his hometown, surrounded by the rich history and community he had always cherished.
Kenny was a proud alumnus of Douglas Anderson and Matthew W. Gilbert, where he graduated with the class of 1967. Kenny's love for music and singing was undeniable, and he could often be found lending his voice to various choirs throughout the city. His melodic tenor was a gift to all who had the pleasure of hearing him sing, and it will be deeply missed in the choirs he so loved.
Kenny's legacy is carried on by his devoted daughter, Kimberly Singleton, and his two cherished grandchildren. His memory will also be treasured by his loving sister, Vera Davis, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Preceding him in death were his beloved parents, Deacon Thomas and Missionary Bessie Hammond Singleton, Sr.; and his siblings, Thomas Singleton, Jr., Herman Singleton, and Barbara Singleton. Kenny now joins them in eternal rest, leaving behind a legacy of love, family, and faith that will forever be remembered by those who were fortunate enough to know him.
