King Za'Kyus Roosevelt Mealer

King Za’Kyus Roosevelt Mealer was the precious little Angel born to the proud parents Triqana Powell and Zackery Mealer in Jacksonville, Florida on March 30, 2020. King Za’Kyus was called home peacefully to be with the Lord on Friday, May 1, 2020. He was preceded in death by his maternal great grandfather, Roosevelt Pierce; paternal grandfather, Arthur Mealer, Jr.; and maternal aunt, Brittany A. Pierce.

King Za’Kyus was known to be a feisty little baby and always called a little fighter. He fought hard for one month, and one day. In that little time, he touched the lives of many.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sisters, Derreiana Marshall, Dy’Kerria Jones and Za’Kiyya Mealer; his brother, Dwuanyea Jones; maternal grandparents, Sonya Powell and Larry Pierce (Shaun); paternal grandmother, Sherlanne Mealer; maternal aunts, Tierre Jackson and Shayla Wright; maternal uncles, Jason Spikes and Larry Pierce, II; paternal aunts, Bridgette Mealer and Julianne Mealer; paternal uncles, Arthur Mealer, III Carl Jefferson, Bruce Jefferson and Rodrick Thompson; and a host of great aunts, great uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
