Larniece Brown

It is with profound sadness and yet with a deep sense of gratitude for her life that we announce the peaceful passing of Larniece Brown, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. Larniece departed this world on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at the age of 64. She was born on June 8, 1961, in Brooklyn, New York, to the late John Carl Jacobs and Lillian Belle Hightower.

Larniece was a beacon of love and warmth to everyone who knew her. She was predeceased by her parents, her sister Michelle, her cherished daughter Miracle, and her dear grandson Frederick Callahan. Despite these profound losses, Larniece's spirit remained unyielding, and her heart continued to expand with love for her surviving family.

She is lovingly remembered by her devoted husband, Lewis Eugene Brown Sr., who stood by her side through all of life's triumphs and challenges. Their union was a testament to enduring love and partnership. Together, they nurtured a beautiful family, and their legacy of compassion and unity will continue to inspire.

Larniece's children, Michael Hicks, Tamisha Queen, Quannisha Queen, and Melvin Reynolds (Emily), were the pride and joy of her life. Her nurturing spirit and unwavering support shaped each of them into the remarkable individuals they are today. Her grandchildren—D’Amisha Johnson (Mack), Jamesha Peterson, Ladasia Gordon, Ah’Nesty Callahan, Melvin Reynolds III, Royal Queen, and Phoenix Hicks—were blessed to know the unconditional love of their grandmother. Her great-grandchildren, Myla Johnson, Myka Johnson, McKailyn Johnson, Mack Johnson, and Ja’Nell Peterson, brought her immense joy and hope for the future.

Larniece is also survived by her brothers, Shaun Jackson and Terrance Jacobs, whose bond with her was as steadfast as it was heartfelt. Her nephews, Shaun Jackson (Nikki) and Jeron Jackson, held a special place in her heart, and she cherished her relationships with LaRae Babygirl Coleman and Donna Myers, who were more than friends to her.

Her commitment to her faith was evident in her active involvement with the Thomas Chapel Church of God by Faith, where she found community and spiritual fulfillment. Larniece's love for cooking and shopping was well-known, and she found great joy in preparing meals that brought her family together and exploring the vibrant aisles of stores where she often discovered treasures and gifts for loved ones. Her generosity of spirit extended far beyond her family, as she was always eager to lend a helping hand to those in need.

Though her departure leaves a void that cannot be filled, her memory will forever be a guiding light in the lives of those she touched. Her warmth, kindness, and zest for life will be dearly missed but never forgotten.

As we bid farewell to Larniece, let us celebrate the beautiful life she lived and the love she so freely shared. May she rest in eternal peace, reunited with those she has lost, and forever remain in our hearts.
