Latasha Allen Obituary

Latasha Denise Allen was born in Boston, Massachusetts on November 14, 1986, to Nichelle Allen and Alfred Brewer. While growing up in Boston, Latasha attended Boston and Braintree Public Schools as well as UMass Dartmouth.  Latasha worked as an Administrative Assistant at Education First and as a Customer Service Manager at MetroPCS.

Latasha had a heart for people and from her childhood through adulthood, she left a lasting impression on everyone she encountered – she was beautiful inside and out. She was free spirited and fun loving, the life of the party. She loved music and she cherished her family. An avid conversationalist, Latasha was extremely bright and always had a way of luring anyone into a healthy debate on any given topic. She loved football and was a huge New England Patriots fan. Latasha was fearless and adventurous and through her travels to Europe was able to experience some of her lifelong dreams. During her childhood and as a young adult, Latasha attended Holy Tabernacle Church of Brockton where she participated in the youth ministry and choir.

Latasha loved her family immensely and her family loved her. She was the absolute light and joy of her family both young and old.  As children, Latasha along with her siblings, Tyanna and TJ, we’re raised very close to her cousins, Nate, Shaquanna and Jayda. They were one cohesive unit and Latasha was their self-appointed leader and somehow easily convinced them to follow her lead - regardless of what they got themselves into. She would always reference herself as her Aunt Twalla’s favorite and needless to say, the two of them did in fact have a very special relationship. Latasha loved to sing and loved all genres of music. A favorite song of both her and her mother’s was Bruno Mars’ Just The Way You Are. The lyrics “and when you smile, the whole world stops and stares for a while, ‘cause girl you’re amazing just the way you are” resonates so distinctly with our Latasha. She truly was amazing and always will be, just the way she was, unconditionally.

Latasha was preceded in death by her grandparents, Joe and Scheryl Allen, who were the lights of her life. Being their 1st grandchild, she was the Apple of their eyes and they were very hands on with the raising of Latasha in the early years of her life. She really kept her grandparents and her aunts, Janaye and Melissa on their toes and with her, there was never a dull moment. Latasha was also preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Alfred Satchebell. She leaves to cherish in her memory her mother, Nichelle (Ron); her father, Alfred (Bernadette); her grandmother, Margaret; her sister, Tyanna (Sam); and her brother TJ; along with her nephew, Sam Jr.; and her niece, Aryanna. She also leaves a host of aunts, uncles and cousins including her aunts, Twalla (Nate), Melissa, Janaye (Duwayne), Cheryl, Dawn and Kimberly; and her uncle, Tyrone. She also leaves to cherish her cousins, Nate Jr. (Kerron), Shaquanna, Jayda, Justin, Evan, Ryan, Nate II, London, Laia and Daniel as well as many friends from Boston to Florida and beyond.

Latasha will be truly missed here on earth but we know that she is at peace in the arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and her grandparents.
