Lawanna Gay Rose

Lawanna Gay Rose, born on April 19, 1963, in Jacksonville, Florida, peacefully passed away on April 16, 2024, in Jacksonville, Florida. Lawanna, known for her caring, loving, giving, and kind nature, will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Lawanna, a beloved daughter of Mamie and Ernest Rose, was the cherished sister of Barbara (Thomas), Ruth (Willie Tee), Benjamin (Charlene), Patricia, Linda (Tony), and Dannette (Russell). She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, and one sister. Lawanna also leaves behind her aunts, Frankie, Janie, and Ethel; in-laws, Linda and Marie; special niece, Monique; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, church family, and friends.

Lawanna attended Palm Avenue School. She found joy in worshiping at the United Missionary Baptist Church and spent her free time indulging in her hobbies of coloring, singing, and watching TV.

Lawanna's presence in the lives of those who knew her will always be remembered with love and fondness. May she rest in peace.
