Leonard Bernard Miller, husband, father, brother, grandfather, uncle, and friend was born on January 11, 1950 in Jacksonville, Florida to the late Betty Mae Miller-Townsend and the late Fred Townsend of Jacksonville, Florida.
Leonard received his education with the Duval County Public School System. He worked in the Field of Transportation for many years as a Truck Driver. As well as Public Transportation Driver for Duval County. When Leonard was not on the road, he enjoyed singing and praising God with the Gospel Group The Silver Aires of Jacksonville, Florida.
Leonard’s book of life closed on Sunday, July 19, 2020 at his Home in the cool of the Day. The angels of the Lord, gathered around his bedside, and escorted him into Eternal Rest. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Betty Ann Townsend and Gloria Jean Johnson; father-in-law, Leonard Tookes Sr.; and brother-in-law, Leonard Tookes Jr.
Leonard leaves to cherish his memories, his wife of 35 rears, Debra Miller of Jacksonville, FL; seven daughters, Christiana Wilkerson of Jacksonville, FL, Tesa Hunter of Macon, GA, Ivory Miller of Tallahassee, FL, Stacey Miller of San Diego, CA, Brandi Miller of Atlanta, GA, April Miller of Tallahassee, FL and Regina Miller of Jacksonville, FL; two sisters, Shirley Kennedy of Chattahoochee, FL and Naomi Townsend of Jacksonville, FL; one brother, John Miller of West Palm Beach, FL; grandchildren, Jeffrey Coney, Joseph Hunter, Jr. and Eboni Hunter all of Jacksonville, FL, Kelly Ellis, Kelsey Hamilton, Jarrod Ferrell, Kalese Ferrell, Kalil Ferrell and Wisdom Cook all of Tallahassee, FL; mother-in-law, Eura Lee Tookes; sisters-in-law, Yvette Wards (Auston), Berlinda Tookes and Carlene Tookes; brothers-in-law, Kenneth Tookes, Sr. (Vanessa), Lawrence Tookes, Sr. (Debora), Gregory Tookes and Laron Corey Tookes (Katishia) all of Jacksonville, FL; a goddaughter who was near and dear to his heart, Lisa Kasi; and daughter, Mykeisha Jones (Tyrone) of Jacksonville, FL; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends who all adored him and who will miss him dearly.
