Leroy L. Bass, Jr.

Leroy L. Bass, Jr. was born on September 30, 1936 to Leroy L. Bass, Sr., and Hortense Bass in Nashville, Georgia. He attended the local schools and furthered his education receiving a Bachelor’s Degree.

Leroy was employed with the Florida Times Union, Urban League and Duval County School Board.

Leroy L. Bass, Jr. went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 16, 2022. He was preceded in death by, Leroy Bass, Sr., Hortense Bass, Nehemiah Bass, Leon Bass and William Bass.

Leroy leaves to cherish his memories, his son, Leroy L. Bass (Carmen); grandchildren, Erica A. Rolark, Taylor Brown, Jerrod Bass, Sam Brown and Ethan Bass; great grandchildren, Tristan Bass, Jeremiah Bass and Amyiah Bass; siblings, Helen Walker, Patricia Tillman and Hollie Bass; devoted cousin, William Green; special friends, Jackie Brown and Gwen Lee; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many sorrowing friends.
