Leslie L. Brooks

Leslie L. Brooks was born on June 24, 1963 in Jacksonville, Florida to the parentage of the late John Stewart, Sr. and Erma Stewart. She attended the local schools. She furthered her education at FSCJ receiving an Associate’s Degree in Health Science majoring in Nursing. She devoted over 30 years in patient care, which promoted her decision to become a Registered Nurse.

Leslie went home to be with the lord on Wednesday, March 24, 2021. She was preceded in death by her father, John Stewart, Sr.; and brother-in-law, Anthony Whitted.

Leslie leaves to mourn her passing but to cherish her memories, her husband of 30 years (together 36 years), Henry Brooks, Sr.; sons, Henry Brooks, Jr. and Calwayne Young; daughter, Maquatta Young; mother, Erma Stewart; sisters, Felicia Chappell, Sylvia Grant, Erma Ladson (Anthony), Jacquelyn Whitted and Sandra Rogers; brothers, John Stewart, Jr. and Jonas Stewart; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and many sorrowing friends.
