Lillie Mae Harris affectionately known as “Barbara” was born April 12, 1946 in Bainbridge, Georgia to her mother Homer Hartsfield and father Cornelius Cull. She was raised by a loving Aunt Lizzie Smith. She was educated at Matthew Gilbert where she graduated and obtained her diploma. She attended and worked at Florida Junior college. She worked and retired from Vital Statistics in Jacksonville, Florida. Barbara accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at a young age and was baptized.
Barbara was preceded in death by the Alvin Lewis, Sr. She was married to her loving husband, Amos “Billy” Harris who passed away January 26, 2018, and seven brothers and two sisters.
Barbara leaves to cherish her memory, her loving children, Alesia Lewis and Alvin Lewis, Jr.; a loving grandson, Dameian L. Lewis whom she cherished. She also leaves to cherish her memory, a loving sister, Mary Cull James; a sister-in-law, Kate Cull; a brother-in-law, Arthur; special nieces, Cynthia Cull and Connie Gibson; goddaughter, Christine "Chrissy" Lester"; a host of other nieces and nephews, cousins, a special daughter, Theresa Lester Butler, a special friend, Christine Lester and many other friends and relatives.
