It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Linda Kaye Denson, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, who left this world on Monday, June 2, 2025, just three days shy of her 70th birthday. Linda was born on June 5, 1955, in Jacksonville, Florida, where she spent her entire life, nurturing her roots and establishing deep connections in her community.
Linda was the cherished daughter of Mamie Alberta Rose and Ernest Rose. She was raised in a loving household that shaped her values and inspired her lifelong dedication to caring for others. Linda's family was her foundation, and she was preceded in death by her beloved son, Majied Quaintance; her parents, Ernest and Mamie Rose; and three brothers and two sisters. Each of them held a special place in her heart, and their memory will forever remain a part of her story.
Linda's education in the Duval County Public Schools laid the groundwork for her compassionate career as a Home Health Aide. She dedicated her life to helping others, bringing comfort and care to those in need. Her selflessness was evident in everything she did, and she found joy in knowing that she made a difference in the lives of many.
In her personal life, Linda found great joy in cooking and singing, often bringing her family together around the dinner table or uplifting spirits through her music. Her home was a haven filled with love, laughter, and delicious aromas. She was not only a caregiver professionally but also in her personal life, always seeking to uplift and help those around her. Linda exemplified the spirit of community, often volunteering her time and energy to assist others in need.
Despite the sorrow of losing loved ones, Linda's spirit shone brightly through her many roles in life. She is survived by her devoted husband, Tony Miller, with whom she shared a lifelong partnership filled with love and companionship. Her legacy continues through her granddaughters, Nadia Quaintance and Azaria Quaintance, and her precious great-grandchild, A'Lina Kaye Shead. Linda’s love extended to her bonus-children, Renita Denson and Reginald Denson, and she remained a guiding presence for many in her extended family, which included one brother, four sisters, and a host of nieces, nephews, in-laws, cousins, and other relatives, all of whom will fondly remember her warmth and kindness.
Though she faced many challenges, Linda's resilience and unwavering faith propelled her through. Her warm smile, infectious laughter, and genuine kindness touched the lives of everyone she encountered. She had a unique ability to make every person feel valued and loved, creating bonds that will last a lifetime.
As we bid farewell to Linda Kaye Denson, let us remember her as a beacon of love and compassion. May her spirit continue to inspire us all to live with kindness and to serve others wholeheartedly. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
