Gladys Clacks Flagg, was born to the late Samira Grant and Amos Clacks on February 10, 1927 in Lubbock, Texas. She was the oldest of three children.
In 1946, Gladys relocated to Jacksonville, Florida and was united in marriage for sixty-six years to the late Reverend Eugene Flagg. To this union four children were born.
Gladys loved the Lord, her family and church family of Emanuel Missionary Baptist Church. She served on the Usher Board for many years and worked beside her husband on District 13 and various church functions and activities. Gladys enjoyed family gatherings and returning home to Lubbock to fellowship with family. She was a trusted aunt and friend to many.
Mother Gladys Clacks Flagg quietly slept away into the arms of Jesus on Wednesday, June 29, 2022. She was preceded in death by her husband, Reverend Eugene Flagg; son, Charles Flagg; sister, Faye Harkey; and brother, Bobby Grant.
Gladys leaves to cherish her memory, children, Mildred Flagg, Samuel Flagg (Pamela) and Warren Flagg (Marie); fifteen grandchildren; twenty-eight great grandchildren; and host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends in Lubbock, Dallas and Houston, Texas.
