Irma Jean Tobler was born on August 6, 1954 to the proud parents of Willie Johnson and Mary Williams in Jacksonville, Florida. She attended the local schools of Duval County. She graduated from Stanton High School, she also attended College for Bible. Irma worked at Saint Vincent’s Hospital for 20 years.
Irma was United in Holy Matrimony to the Love of her life Pastor Bobby Tobler on October 10, 1981. They shared so many wonderful and loving times together. She enjoyed reading, sowing, typing, serving the Lord, teaching, and mentoring kids and young adults. Irma was also very active in the Community. She was dedicated and loyal to her family, she loved fashion but most of all she loved God. Irma was a member of God House of Prayer for All People for many, many years serving as an Evangelist.
God saw fit to send His angel of death into the room of Pastor Irma Jean Tobler with its love and tender care to relieve her from the troubles of this world. On Wednesday Morning, January 25, 2023, Pastor Irma Jean Tobler entered into her eternal rest to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Williams; father, Johnson; and siblings, Betty Cohen, Ada Hill, Willie Mae Johnson, Johnell Johnson, Sr., Wilbert Johnson, Willie Johnson, Lonnie Johnson and Sylvester Johnson.
Pastor Tobler leaves to mourn her passing, but to cherish her memories, her loving and devoted husband of 41 years, Pastor Bobby Tobler; siblings, Larry Johnson (Myrle), Sylvia Johnson, Vonnie Johnson, Michael Johnson and Mose Williams, Jr; a host of step-children, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many sorrowing friends.
