Patrick Gipson Obituary

Patrick Earl Gipson was born on August 1, 1981, to James Earl Gipson of Pickens, Mississippi and Gloria Jeanette Cross Gipson of Swainsboro, Georgia. On June 2, 2025, Patrick departed this life at the age of 43, in Jacksonville, Florida.

At an early age, Patrick accepted Christ as his personal Savior and joined the Church of Apostolic Faith of Atlantic Beach, Florida, under the leadership of the late Overseer D. Basine. He received his education in Jacksonville, Florida, graduating from Foundation Academy in 1999. He went on to pursue his education at Florida Community College, Valencia Community College and Trump University Real Estate.

Patrick brought joy and warmth to everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. Patrick was a man of many passions. He enjoyed working his Landscaping & Construction Business. His passion was Real Estate and Gardening; he enjoyed Nature in General. Patrick found peace and solace in the great outdoors, and his passion for nurturing plants mirrored his nurturing spirit towards those he loved.

He was preceded in death by his beloved grandparents, aunt, uncle and cousins, Sarah L. Cross, Sam Cross, Doris Cross, Samuel Cross, Jeremiah Williams, and Andrew Bartley. Their love and guidance shaped Patrick into the man he became. He carried their memory with him throughout the years.

Patrick was the son of James Earl Gipson, and Gloria Jeanette Cross Gipson. He was not only a devoted son, but also a loving brother to Joshua Gipson, who, along with his wife Jennifer, and Marvin Smith. They shared countless moments of laughter and brotherly love with him. Patrick’s family extended to cherish his nephews, Shiloh and Elijah Gipson, who held a special place in his heart.

Patrick is survived by his dedicated companion, LeCretia Wilborn, with whom he shared a bond of love and friendship that enriched his life. Together, they welcomed a son, Payton Wilborn-Danzey, who was the light of Patrick’s life. His love for Payton was unwavering and he took immense pride in being a father. Patrick’s Legacy will live on through Payton, who will carry forward his father’s spirit and values.

In addition to his immediate family, Patrick is survived by Aunts, Uncles; Barbara Bartley, Anner Hardin, Almeritta Wilcox, and Carolyn Ann Donaldson (Cecil), Reanna Issac, James Edward Cross, John Willie Cross, Prince Albert Gipson (Rosa). Along with a host of cousins, and other relatives, and many sorrowing Friends. Each person who knew Patrick was touched by his kindness and his absence will be felt deeply by all who had the privilege of sharing their lives with him.

Patrick Earl Gipson spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He was a loving son, devoted partner and father and a cherished friend. His memory will forever be a source of inspiration, and he will be deeply missed by all who had the honor of calling him family and friend. Rest in peace, Patrick. Your journey has just begun, and we will carry your love with us.
