Pa’Trinkal Welch Maxwell was born in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, on November 20, 1972, to Ida Welch-Edwards and Jimmy Spencer. She peacefully departed this life on Monday, December 8, 2025, at her residence.
At an early age, Pa’Trinkal dedicated her life to Christ and joined Acks Chapel CME Church in Gordo, Alabama. She was a proud graduate of Gordo High School, Class of 1991, where she served as a cheerleader and was a member of HOSA. After graduation, she relocated to Florida, where she became an Assistant Manager at The Home Depot. She later joined Abyssinia Missionary Baptist Church.
Pa’Trinkal was united in holy matrimony to Tony R. Maxwell, and to this union, four children were lovingly celebrated.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Zellener Cody; her grandmothers, Amy C. Welch and Eola Duff; her stepfather, William Edwards; her father-in-law, Amos Reed; her brother, Johnny Mack; her uncle, James Welch; her niece, Hortencia Welch; and her nephew, Jermaine Edwards Jr.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories to her devoted husband of 27 years, Tony R. Maxwell; children, Tony R. Maxwell Jr. (Katharina), Je’Corian Leon McCray, Jordan Bryce Maxwell (Mia Estelle) and DaKarai Keone Maxwell; her mother, Ida Welch-Edwards; her father, Jimmy Spencer; grandchildren, Je’Corian, Santerius, Skyler, Zoe, Micah, Davonta, Justice, and Jayhlen; sisters, Ghirlonda Dixon, Antimeka Hall (Antonio), Jimmie Nell Spencer, Natasha Cousette and Monica Latham; brothers, Jerandol Welch, Phillip Latham, Ben Davis, Sammy Davis and Eddie Davis; her mother-in-law, Helen Reed; her father-in-law, Tommy Lee Maxwell; and her bonus mother, Sylvia Cheeks; a bonus stepfather, Jeffie (Jeffro) Craig; bonus sisters, Barbara Welch, Celestine Miller, and Jeannine Holmes; bonus brother, Jarvis Welch; special niece, Imani “Sunshine” Welch; brothers and sisters-in-law, Adam Reed (Ceterial), Ken Reed (Danita), Kirk Reed (Tami), Gerald Maxwell (Troni), Tyrone Maxwell, Tommy Maxwell (Shania), Marcell Maxwell (Kim), Dominic Martin (Juanita) and Sherry Maxwell-Hill (Tyrone). She is also survived by a special uncle, John Welch; six aunts; six uncles; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
