Mr. Phillip “Jamil” Johnson passed away on February 16, 2021. He was a native of Jacksonville, Florida. He attended Light House Christian School and graduated from Middleburg High School. At an early age he gave his life to Christ.
Jamil was employed by Vallencourt Construction Company. Jamil was a loving, caring, energetic son, brother, father, grandson, godson, nephew, cousin, and friend.
Jamil’s smile could brighten up any room. He brought joy to everyone who knew him. He experienced a ‘new’ love with the birth of his son. His love for his son was earnest and admirable as he worked hard in his role of a new father. Jamil’s charisma, laughter and kindness will be cherished and missed.
Jamil was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Moses Thompson, Jr. and Edward W. Spears, Sr.
Jamil leaves to cherish his precious memory, his loving son, Jasiah N. Johnson; girlfriend, Nata’lee Amison; his loving parents, Donald Roberson, Jr., and Monique Roberson; along with siblings, Joseph Johnson, Amanda Johnson, Arionna Hankerson, Rodrick Kearse, Keosha Griffin, Kimberlee Anazobi (Ifeanyi), Dwight Johnson, Jr., and Octavia Johnson; grandmothers, Carolyn Spears, Sandra Hammond; and host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Jamil leaves to cherish special friends, Mary Jane, Julie Villar, James Hurst, Jr., Darius Hudson, Evan Moise, Dominic Borrero, Rolando Grey, Reynaldo Grey, Raymond Grey Jr., Unique Amison, Avery Butler, AJ Toney and Tony Hopson.
