On July 19, 1958, Frankie Poindexter was born Frankie Mae Poindexter in Atmore, Alabama to the late Lena Mae Matthews and John Hubbard Rankins Sr. of Jacksonville, Florida. She departed this life on Saturday, April 18, 2026.
Frankie was educated in the public schools of Jacksonville in Duval County and is a graduate of Andrew Jackson High School. Frankie has achieved other associates, certifications, degrees and License during her lifetime.
After high school, Frankie was employed by May Cohens, People Express (First Data), Humana Insurance Company, Dell Perot Systems, Blue Cross and Blue Shields, and Frankie was currently employed at NTT Data.
Frankie served faithfully at Philippians Community Church, as well as New Covenant Ministries where she served on the Intercessory prayer team and the Telecare Ministry.
Frankie married Ricardo McMillan where their union produced a daughter by the name of Alysia La Frenda McMillan Davis.
Frankie was preceded in death by her mother, Lena Mae Matthews; her father, John H. Rankins Sr.; her two brothers, Robert Matthews and John H. Rankin Jr.; and her baby sister, Katrina K. Rankins (Kay-Kay).
Frankie leaves to cherish her memories, her daughter, Alysia La Frenda McMillan Davis; grandchildren, Anisa Davis, Stephen Davis, Ariana Davis, Anaya Davis, and Robert Davis; great- grandchildren, Diana Davis and Desmond Davis; siblings, Gregory A. Jones Sr., Jackie Gamble, Michael Hobb, Henrietta Mathews. Wayne Grant, Eljah Grant, Marnessia Walker (Freddie), and Melissa Rankins; in-law, Minister Freddie Walker; special name, Mae Mae; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many sorrowing friends.
