Renee Howell

Renee Jennings Jackson Howell was born April 21, 1956 to the late Solomon and Margaret Jennings in Jacksonville, Florida. She attended the local schools of Duval County graduating from Andrew Jackson High School. 

Renee worked as a Kindergarten Teacher for 16 years then she wanted to be involved in law so in 2005 she went down to the courthouse to become a Bailiff. She worked over 15 years at the Duval County Courthouse until her health failed her.  She was a faithful and devoted member of Emanuel Missionary Baptist Church where she sung in the choir and served as President of the Deaconess Board. She loved her church family and her work family. 

God saw fit to send His angel of death into the room of Renee Jennings Jackson Howell with its love and tender care to relieve her from the troubles of this world. On Wednesday, August 19, 2020, Renee Jennings Jackson Howell entered into her eternal rest to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents, Solomon and Margaret Jennings; and brothers, Jasper Jennings, Solomon Jennings and Samuel Jennings. 

Renee is survived by her loving husband, Delmon R. Howell; children, Keasha Jennings, Rencika Jennings, Michael Jackson, Jr., goddaughter, Jennifer Murray; stepsons, Alonzo Howell (Jeanette), Delmon Howell Jr. (Maria) and Jerome Howell; sisters, Helen Conyers, Twarnar Jennings and Marbanean Jennings; in-laws, James Howell (Gloria), Lewis Howell (Margaret), Blanch Dowdell and Dessie Howell; and a host of grandchildren, great grands, nieces, nephews, cousins, loving family and friends.

Renee was truly loved by everyone who knew her and will truly be missed.
