Renelder Allen, Jr. Obituary

Mr. Renelder Allen, Jr. better known as Bear was born in Jacksonville, Florida on January 25, 1944 to the late Deacon Renelder Allen, Sr. and Irene Knight Allen. He always had a great love and appreciation for his parents but his mother Irene was his special precious jewel and he lit up whenever she was spoken or mentioned.

Renelder attended Duval County Public Schools and there he found his love and passion for mathematics and was a genius level in any aspect. His wisdom and complexed mathematician skills were true gifts given to him by God.

Round or about 1964 Renelder was then able to obtain employment with Insteel Industries and was able to display his knowledge and math expertise with numbers and figures. Shortly after being hired at Insteel Industries Renelder was quickly promoted to Yard Forman for his noted leadership skills, work ethics and expertise of his craft. While at Insteel Industries he was trusted and responsible for millions of dollars of inventory daily. Renelder worked for Insteel Industries for fifty-six years where he met many long-lasting friends with no missed days of work.

He will be greatly missed and remembered for his chortle laugh and unwavering kindness for others. After retirement Renelder’s day to day joy came from being able to relax, enjoying his favorite TV Shows and his blue can of Arizona Sweet Tea. He would also look forward to his numerous weekly rides to the grocery store, bank, bill payment center and most importantly his favorite eating place, Burger King with his devoted and dedicated niece, Mrs. Delicia Eloir.

We will miss his kind gentle sweet spirit and the way he never met a stranger. To know Bear is to love him. He was preceded in death by one daughter and leaves behind two loving sisters, Lottie Mae Allen Jenkins (Rudolph) and Brenda Dunlap; a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members and friends. Thank you to his long-life dear friend, Ms. Theda Frazier.
