Rennee Johnson was born in the Bronx, New York to Cedrick Beck and Marjorie Johnson and attended Highlands and Douglas Anderson in Jacksonville Florida.
Rennee was United in Holy Matrimony to Harold Curtis Smith. She was employed by the City of Jacksonville Beach for several years prior to retiring due to illness. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Rennee laid her crown at the Lord’s feet on Saturday, February 28, 2026. She was preceded in death by her father, Cedrick Beck; mother, Marjorie Billingslea; son, James Curtis Smith; and granddaughter, Lyric Ginnee Allen.
Rennee leaves to cherish her memories, her children, Nakeshia Vanique Johnson (Ed), Patrina Seay (Marvel), and Tameka Allen (Lee); grandchildren, Michael Alexander Johnson (Quamaine), Quincy Ellis Glover Jr., Malikah Lashay Glover, Keeshaun Xaivier Glover, Deysia Regina Seay and Kailah Rennee Seay; great grandchildren, Javier James Seay, Keeshaun Xaiver Glover Jr., Earl Denson Williams III, Addison Lashay Glover, Khloe Vanique Glover and Jovani Ahmad Lewis; siblings, Antoinette Asberry, Dwayne “Bruce” Johnson, Denise Zeigler, Sonya Allen, Tracey Searcy (Sylvester), Latonya Alexander, and Richard Billingslea Jr.; in-laws, Kermit Smith (Denise), Annette Smith, and Randy Walker; aunts, Sue Leath-Fennell and Linda Leath-Brown (Bruce); uncle, Ronald T. Leath; favorite cousins, Conrad McCoy (Carma), Glynes Hightower, and James “Brad” Fennell; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members and friends.
