Richard Myers, Jr. Obituary

Mr. Richard Myers, Jr.  was the son of the late Richard Myers, Sr. and Mrs. Janie Stoney Myers. He was born on January 6, 1929 in Jacksonville, Florida. He was educated in the local schools of Duval County.

Richard enlisted in the United States Army and served in the Korean War. He was also a longshoreman for many years.

Richard Myers, Jr. was called to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 28, 2023. He was preceded in death by his children, Dedria Hernandez and Marvin Myers; parents, Richard Myers, Sr and Janie Myers; and siblings, Lillian Myers, Altamese Butler and Debra Axle.

Richard leaves to mourn his passing, his loving and devoted wife, Vanessa Myers; son, Russel Myers (Nancy); daughters, Diane Davis and Cheryl Vaughan; five grandchildren; five great grandchildren; siblings, Warren H. Myers (Josephine), John H. Myers (Edna), Sandra M. Myers, and Thelton A. Myers (Jacquelyn); special nephew, Anthony Butler; and a host of niece, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many sorrowing friends.
