Rosa Ford Obituary

It is with heavy hearts and profound gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the passing of our beloved Rosa Ola Ford, who peacefully departed this world on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at the age of 89. Born on November 29, 1936, in the quaint town of Butler, Georgia, Rosa's life was a tapestry of love, service, and unwavering faith.

Rosa was the cherished daughter of the late Morris Turner and Effie Robinson, who instilled in her the values of kindness and perseverance. She was the devoted wife of the late Deacon Ezickel Ford, with whom she shared an extraordinary sixty-seven years of marriage. Together, they built a legacy of love, raising a close-knit family rooted in faith and unity.

A cornerstone of her family, Rosa was predeceased by her dear parents, Morris and Effie, her beloved husband, Deacon Ezickel, and her son, Wayne Ford. She is survived by her children, Lee Morris Ford, Earnest Ford (Brenda), Ezickel Ford Jr., Darrell Ford, Rickey Ford (Sandi), and Travis Ford. Her legacy extends to her cherished grandchildren, Shederra, Latonia, Naida, Corey, and Rickell, as well as seven great-grandchildren, all of whom were the light of her life. Rosa's love knew no bounds, and she leaves behind a host of other loving family members and friends who will forever hold her memory dear.

Rosa's professional journey was marked by her dedication and compassion, exemplified in her work as a Service Aid at Brooks Rehabilitation Hospital. Her colleagues and patients alike were touched by her gentle spirit and unwavering commitment to helping others. Her career was not merely a job but a testament to her nature of selfless giving.

A woman of deep faith, Rosa was a devoted member of All Saints Holiness Church in Greenland, Florida. Her involvement in the church was not just a part of her life; it was the very essence of her being. She found joy and purpose in her service to the congregation, becoming a pillar of strength and guidance for many.

Rosa's life was a testament to the power of love, faith, and resilience. Her warmth and grace touched all who had the privilege of knowing her. Though her earthly presence will be profoundly missed, her spirit will continue to inspire and guide her family and friends.

In celebrating Rosa's life, let us remember her as a beacon of love and kindness, a woman whose legacy will forever be etched in the hearts of those she touched. As we bid farewell, we find comfort in knowing that Rosa is reunited with her beloved Ezickel and Wayne, enveloped in the eternal embrace of peace and love.
