Rosa received her formal education in Duval County schools. She later married Henry Jones in 1935.
She labored out of love for many years as a Domestic Engineer and Nanny for the Browns, Blumberg’s and other families in the San Jose area. She was also committed to helping others by any means necessary. Though she never had any children of her own. She with open arms accepted the task of being a loving mother to Addie Walker, Harriet Graham and Nanny to Lauren and Wil Blumberg. It was not unusual for her to extend a helping hand.
In her early years she attended New St. James Baptist Church and later became a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Greenland. She was an Eastern Star and member of the Harim of Jericho Chapter.
