Samson Stepps, Jr. Obituary

Mr. Samson Stepps, Jr. was born on October 19, 1945 in Jacksonville, Florida to the late Mr. Julius Bailey and Mrs. Oreatha Bailey. Samson attended local schools in Duval County, and accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age.

He enlisted into the military in the year of 1969, serving in the Army and Navy branches, he later retired from the City of Jacksonville after more than 30 years. As we remember Samson, we reflect on how he hid away reading his bible, how he willingly helped others, and his charismatic spirit all of which will be forever cherished. The memories with his family and friends, and the lives he touched will never be forgotten, but only to be continued within the hearts of each of us.

Samson later met and married his loving and devoted wife, Linda Stepps. To this union of over 50 years, two daughters and one son were born. Preceding Samson in death were his father, Julius Bailey; son, Samson Stepps, III: and his brother, Larry Stepps.

Samson leaves his memories to his mother, Oreatha Bailey; wife, Linda White-Stepps; daughters Tonette Stepps and Samantha Stepps; adopted daughter, Nicole Brazil; granddaughters, Brandi Bell, Cierra Washington, Brittany Perry, Teri’el Dixon, and Imani Stepps-Davis; grandson, Jonathon Bell; great-granddaughters, Tamaria Stepps, London Stepps, and Nivea Stepps; sisters-in-law, Altheia Rodriguez , Dorothy Curtis, and Laura White; three aunts; and a host of loving relatives and friends.
