Samuel Ross Obituary

Mr. Samuel D. Ross, born on September 30, 1960, in Jacksonville, Florida to Luther B. Ross and Lula Mae Ross. He attended Ephesus Jr. Academy for primary school, Forrest Lake Academy for high school, and furthered his education at Oakwood University.

Mr. Ross worshipped at Ephesus Seventh-Day Adventist Church under the leadership of Pastor Ricardo Daphnis.

Throughout his nursing career, he dedicated himself to serving others, working for various hospitals, nursing homes, and the State of Florida until his retirement. He was known for his loving, caring, Christian, and kind nature.

Mr. Ross was a talented musician, both vocally and as an accomplished pianist. He shared his gift of music with various churches and well-known gospel artists.

Mr. Samuel D. Ross book of life closed on Monday, March 18, 2024. He was preceded in death by his parents, Luther B. Ross and Lula Mae Ross; and siblings, Luther B. Ross, Jr., Rachel Washington, Randolph Ross, Sr., Henry Ross, Sr., Lula Mills, John Ross, Sr., Paul Ross, and Benjamin Ross.

He is survived by his aunts, Mamie Martin and Doris Martin; siblings, Vello Martin, Michael Ross (Brenda), and Claude Ross; in-laws, A.G. Ross and Marilyn Ross; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other close family and friends.

His memory will be cherished by all who knew him, and his legacy of kindness and musical talent will forever be remembered.
