Sharon Morrison-Jordan Obituary

Mrs. Sharon Gail Sharp Jordan was born in Jacksonville, Florida, to Andrew and Vivian Sharp. She was the third of six daughters born to this union. Sharon received her education in the Duval County Public School System and was a proud member of the Class of 1972 at William M. Raines High School.

Sharon went on to become a licensed cosmetologist and a certified home health care provider. Through both her professional work and personal care, she dedicated her life to helping others look and feel their best. Known for her impeccable style, Sharon had a special love for Cadillac cars, fashionable hairstyles, and keeping her lawn perfectly manicured—each a reflection of her pride, creativity, and attention to detail.

Sharon’s presence brought light, laughter, and love to every gathering. She was known for hosting elaborate seafood boils, which would be attended by those near and far. She was deeply devoted to her family and was especially proud of her only son, Dedric T. Sharp, with whom she shared an unbreakable bond. She maintained close relationships with her siblings, nieces, nephews, and cousins throughout her life.

Sharon went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 29, 2025. She was preceded in death by her father, Andrew “Lefty” Sharp; her mother, Vivian Cato Sharp; sister, Tammy Sharp; nephews, Robert Pino and Victor Sharp; and her husband, MacArthur Jordan, whom she cared for until his final days. Their memories remain etched in the hearts of those who loved her.

Sharon leaves to cherish her memories a large and loving family including, her devoted son, Dedric Sharp; devoted sisters, Susan Pino, Alvie Owens, Andrea Ford and Terrie Harris; sister in-law, Willie Mae Smith of Chicago, Illinois; devoted nieces and nephews, Twanya Honer (Arthur), LaCendia Mitchell (Arthur), Andrew Sharp, Sheclesiastes Clements, Natasha Ford, Nadia Clements, Detrina Sharp, Porschee Ford, and Roy Owens; great nieces and nephews, Danielle Lee, TaVosia Mitchell, Victoria Sharp, Alexis Lopez, Deja Foster, Andrew Sharp Jr., Sage Bailey, Karon Pino, Isis Bailey, Jade Bailey, Arthur Mitchell III, Pashence Jacobs, Amari Sharp, and Cairo Parrish; great-great nieces and nephews, Prosper Randall, Cassius Jones, Kyree Johnson, Justice Bailey, Jah Campbell, Raegan Lillard and Yemaya Holmes; goddaughters, Aleshia Hayes and Catherine Harvey-Jackson; friend, Belinda Jalloh; and a host of loving family members and friends.

Sharon was also blessed to have established dedicated friendships throughout her community with Dr. and Mrs. Eugene Bebeau Jr. and Mr. John Delaney, who both visited her and reflected upon fond memories during her final days. Her commitment to her family and community exemplified the love and values that she held dear.

As we remember the life of Mrs. Sharon Gail Sharp-Jordan, we celebrate a woman whose legacy will live on through her family, friends, and all whose lives that she has touched.
