Shirley Faye Andrews was born December 11, 1956, to Aaron Spriggs, Sr. and Easter Mae Spriggs in Birmingham, Alabama. She attended Brighton School in Jefferson County School District. Also attending Booker T. Washington Jr. College of Business, even obtaining her CNA License and Activities Director Certification.
Shirley was happily married to Thomas Andrews, Sr., for forty-six years. She served faithfully to Westside oaks rehab and nursing for forty plus years in many departments. She enjoyed puzzles, shopping, cooking, and traveling to Tampa. She was a loving wife, devoted mother to all, and a cherished friend. Her kindness, warmth, and selfless spirit touched everyone she encountered. She had a way of making people feel seen, supported, and loved, and her presence brought comfort and joy to those around her. Her legacy of love will live on through the countless lives she impacted.
Shirley went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 4, 2026. She was preceded in death by Aaron Spriggs Sr, Easter Mae Spriggs, Aaron Spriggs Jr. Marzette Tabb, Vanessa Spriggs-Lewis, and Carolyn Grant.
Shirley leaves to cherish her memories, her spouse, Thomas Andrews, Sr.; children, Thomas Andrews Jr. (Rhonda), Christopher Andrews (Alonda), Anthony Andrews Sr (Janae), Kimberly Spriggs, Terrance Andrews (Antoinette) and Aliyah Andrews; grandchildren, Nadia, Anthony Jr. Kemari, Jiyua , Skylar, Antony, Maysn, Kaydn, Jaylen, Tavaris, Codaroah, and Brianna Hills; a host of other grandchildren; great grand, Kameryn Coefield; siblings, Tammy Kirksey (Victor), Peggy Smith, and Onesha Moody (Marcus); and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many sorrowing friends.
