Shirley Ann Burney-Graham was born on February 1, 1948 to the late Belzola Burney in Jacksonville, Florida. She was a proud graduate of Douglas Anderson class of 1966.
Shirley was employed with State Farm Insurance for over 40 years and later retired. She was a faithful and loyal member of First Church Hopewell where she held many roles including Secretary of Sunday School, Inspirational Voices and The Prison Ministry. Shirley had a love and passion for traveling and spending time with her family and friends. Her smile was contagious and her loving kind heart warmed so many.
Shirley gained her heavenly wings on Saturday, January 9, 2021. She was preceded in death by her mother, Belzola Burney; and her pride and joy, her one and only son, Keith D. Graham, Sr.
Shirley leaves to cherish her memory, two grandchildren, Keith Graham, Jr. and Keionna Graham; two sisters, Carolyn Hampton (Allen) and Janice Jenkins (Hiram); two great grandchildren, Ka’Mari Graham and Keith Graham, III; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many sorrowing friends; among her nieces/daughters, Nikita Burney, Melanie Huey (Leonders) and Tamesha Brown (Corey); her favorite cousins, Yvonne, Josephine, Brenda and Marie; her godson, Davron Monroe; and special friends, Rudine and Myra.
